Here's exactly what data Wasser AI collects and what happens to it. Short version: your account data stays in our database, we email you about Academy activity unless you turn that off, and we don't sell anything to anyone.
What we collect
We collect your email and password for your Academy account, profile fields you choose to fill in, your posts, comments, likes, messages, and lesson progress, and basic first-party site analytics. On public marketing pages, we use the OpenAI Measurement Pixel to measure visits and completed quote requests from our ads. It uses a first-party cookie to connect an ad click with a later conversion and sends measurement events to OpenAI. Our event code does not include your quote answers or contact details. We skip this advertising pixel when your browser sends Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track. OpenAI's privacy policy explains how OpenAI handles data.
Where it lives
Your database and authentication data live in Supabase's hosted infrastructure. The site is hosted on Netlify.
Notifications and community emails are sent via Resend and Google Workspace. Every notification type can be turned off from your Academy profile settings, and any bulk email includes a way out. We never sell or share your email.
DMs
Direct messages are private between participants and stored in the database like any messaging product. Site admins have technical access to the database but don't read DMs except when required to investigate abuse.
Deletion
Want your account and data gone? Email robert@wasserai.ca from your account email and it will be deleted.
Payments
The Academy is currently free; no payment data is collected for it. Guide purchases on wasserai.ca are processed by Stripe — card details never touch our servers.
